I. Topic: The Challenges of Higher Education in the 21st century

The II UniSCED International Conference aims to bringing together academics and researchers from different parts of the world so that they can share and discuss ideas, different experiences and practices that can be helpful in improving the quality of higher education offered by different institutions in the 21st century. In this context, the main objectives of the Conference are the following:

1. Share experiences about inclusive education vs quality in online teaching;
2. Discuss the challenges of online higher education;
3. Analyze the contribution and challenges imposed by artificial intelligence to higher education;
4. Identify strategies of using technology in education as well as strategies of using open educational resources;
5. Share experiences about the quality of doctoral academic programs offered in different parts of the world;

II. Panels and thematic axes

Speakers will be grouped into different panels in line with the following thematic axes:

• Inclusion  and quality in higher education;
• Online Higher Education, Inclusion and Quality;
• Artificial Intelligence and higher education;
• The use of technology in education and open educational resources;
• The quality of doctoral training Programs.

III. Modality

The II UniSCED International Conference will take place in a hybrid modality: onsite and online. The onsite modality will take place in the City of Beira.

IV. UnISCED’s Online Journal and the book of proceedings

 The book of proceedings will be published in the University journal. A total of seven articles will be selected by its editorial team after a double-blind peer review process. The link to access the journal is the following: https//revista.unisced.educ.mz

V. Procedures and deadlines

 Abstract submission procedures:

• Abstracts must be submitted by May 31, 2024 to the following email: conferencia.internacional@unisced.edu.mz.
• Articles and communications must be sent by June 30, 2024 to the following email: conferencia.internacional@unisced.edu.mz.
